CHAMP Dominates In Open Championship Field
At the close of the 140th Open Championship held at Royal St. George’s, CHAMP spikes continue to be the choice in traction technology of the majority of the field in the major championships. With all of the added excitement this tournament consistently brings, more than half of the total field and five of the top ten finishers wore CHAMP spikes.
In other tour news, at the Viking Classic, there were similar results in spike statistics with 50% of the top ten finishers playing in CHAMP Spikes. CHAMP continues to see new players gravitating towards CHAMP spikes, in particular the CHAMP Zarma® Spikes. With two top ten finishes this week, Zarma sales continue to grow as does number of players on tour changing to play in the newest comfort cleat on the market.
CHAMP Wins at John Deere Classic and Scottish Open
The Monday morning golf reports continue to bring great news regarding CHAMP Spikes. This week CHAMP enjoys victories on the PGA and European PGA Tours.
The Scottish Open played at Castle Stuart Golf Links reports that along with the winner 69% of the entire field competed in CHAMP Spikes. Of these high numbers, eight of the top ten finishers on the leader board also wore CHAMP spikes. This marks the 23rd win that CHAMP has taken the top position. In each event played in 2011 on the European PGA Tour CHAMP has enjoyed having over 60% player participation of every field and in some cases nearly the entire field as the percentages have been on the rise.
At the John Deere Classic it was an 18th hole putt that gave the final champion the lead wearing CHAMP spikes. As always there was a strong field representation for CHAMP and this is the 19th event won on the PGA Tour by a player competing in the CHAMP brand.
