Posted on October 22 2019
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Oct. 21, 2019 – In tournaments across the globe this weekend, all four major tour event winners wore replaceable cleat technology from PrideSports brands Softspikes® and Champ®. From the United States to France, China and South Korea, cleated footwear made a difference for the world’s best golfers.
“The winners on the professional tours this week are all experienced players with multiple career victories, so it’s no surprise each chose the stability, traction and control provided by cleated footwear,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports. “A solid foundation helps to create a golf swing that can win anywhere in the world.”
The PGA Tour traveled to South Korea for the CJ Cup, where the winner and world’s No. 4 player chose FootJoy® Icon footwear with Champ® Pro Stinger replaceable cleats. The European Tour was in France for the Open de France, where the winner claimed his third-career tour win in Nike React Vapor 2 shoes with Softspikes® Silver Tornado cleats.
The winner at this week’s LPGA Tour event, the Buick LPGA Shanghai, wore adidas® Adipower 4orged footwear with Thintech EXP pins en route to her third career win. Back stateside, the winner of the Dominion Energy Charity Classic picked up his third Champions Tour win wearing FootJoy® Hyperflex 2 shoes with Softspikes® Silver Tornado cleats.
Replacement Softspikes® and Champ® cleats can be purchased in the golf section of most large retailers, sporting goods stores, golf specialty and golf course pro shops across the country. Cleats can also be purchased online from any of these locations, your favorite online store or directly from www.golfspikes.com.
