PrideSports® Replaceable Spikes Used by Winner of Honda Classic and More

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., March 1, 2022 – PrideSports® confirms the winners of the 2022 Honda Classic, PGA Tour Champions’ Cologuard Classic and Asian Tour’s Royal Cup, all relied on the company’s replaceable spikes.
On the PGA Tour, the 28-year-old winner of the Honda Classic became the first Austrian champion in Tour history, as he captured a one-shot victory at the Champions course at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Throughout the event, he utilized Softspikes® Cyclone® spikes in his SQAIRZ golf shoes. Additionally, 31 of the top-41 players at the tournament chose replaceable spikes over spikeless alternatives, including the runner-up and third place finishers.
At the Cologuard Classic, contested at the Omni Tucson National, the winner captured his 12th PGA Tour Champions title. He trusted ceramic metal spikes in his Nebulon shoes. On the Asian Tour, the champion of the Royal’s Cup, held at Grand Prix Golf Club in Thailand, used Softspikes® Silver Tornado® spikes in his FootJoy DryJoy shoes.
“Replaceable spikes help players maximize stability and control in any weather, which leads to improved distance, accuracy and lower scores,” said Joe Henderson, President of PrideSports.
Replacement Softspikes® and CHAMP® cleats can be purchased in the golf section of most large retailers, sporting goods stores, golf specialty and golf course pro shops across the country. Cleats can also be purchased online from any of these locations, your favorite online store or directly from www.golfspikes.com.
PrideSports is the undisputed leader in the golf cleat segment with its CHAMP® and Softspikes® brands. The company recommends golfers change their cleats every six to eight months – or even more frequently based on use – to ensure golfers get the maximum performance out of their footwear.
CHAMP’s Helix®, Zarma Tour® and Stinger® cleats, as well as Softspikes’ Pivix®, Pulsar®, Silver Tornado™ and Stealth® cleats, dominate the OEM and secondary market in terms of performance and sales. More information can be found at www.champspikes.com and www.Softspikes.com.
